Posts & Solutions

Section titled “Posts & Solutions”

The Posts & Solutions system allows users to view conservation project details, create new solutions with an AI-assisted form, update existing posts, and participate in threaded discussions through comments.

Post Detail

Section titled “Post Detail”
  • Full Post Page — Dedicated page with comprehensive solution information
  • Accordion Sections — Basic Info, Tags, Description, Contact Info, Additional Info
  • Post Detail Drawer — Slide-out sheet from the map without leaving the globe view
  • Recommendations — Same-organization post recommendations (horizontal scroll on desktop)
  • Recommendations Drawer — Side drawer with recommended posts alongside post detail
  • Like/Unlike — Instant toggle with automatic syncing

Add Solution

Section titled “Add Solution”
  • Comprehensive Form — Title, organization, region, country, solution type, conservation actions, dates, status, impact info, contact info
  • AI Document Upload — Upload PDF/PNG/JPG documents for auto-fill of form fields
  • Map Location Picker — Interactive map modal for selecting exact location
  • Image Upload — Upload images from your device
  • Video Upload — Video link support
  • Seeking Funds/Volunteers — Checkbox flags for resource needs

Update Solution

  • Pre-populated Form — Edit existing posts with all current data loaded
  • Same Form Experience — Identical comprehensive form as creation

Comments

  • Threaded Replies — Top-level comments with nested reply capability
  • Comment on Posts — Full comment section on post detail pages

Creating a Solution

Section titled “Creating a Solution”
  1. Click “Add Solution” from map sidebar or list view
  2. Upload a document (optional) → AI auto-fills form fields
  3. Fill in required fields: title, organization, country, solution type
  4. Add conservation actions, dates, status, descriptions
  5. Pick location on the map
  6. Upload images and add video links
  7. Submit → post appears on map and list view

Viewing a Post

  1. Click a marker on the map → popup appears
  2. Click “View Details” → post detail drawer slides out
  3. See recommendations from the same organization
  4. Expand accordion sections for full information
  5. Add comments and replies
  6. Like the post

How It Works

Section titled “How It Works”

When you create a new solution, gAIa (the AI Oracle) can help by reading uploaded documents and automatically filling in the form fields. Once submitted, your solution appears as a marker on the interactive map and in the list view, where other users can view it, leave comments, and show their support. Each post organizes information into easy-to-navigate sections including basic details, tags, descriptions, and contact information. When you view a post, the system also suggests related posts from the same organization to help you discover more conservation work.
