Verification Marketplace
Verification Marketplace
Section titled “Verification Marketplace”The Verification Marketplace is EarthTeam’s decentralized system for verifying the real-world impact of conservation projects. It connects project creators with trained verifiers who perform on-site evaluations using multi-part forms, geotagged photo/video evidence, and GPS navigation. A consensus algorithm aggregates multiple verifier assessments to produce a final verification status.

Current State
Section titled “Current State”The app has a placeholder screen with a checkmark icon, “Verification” title, and “Coming soon…” subtitle. The tab exists in the bottom navigation. Some project detail views also show “Verification Status: Coming Soon”. The backend verification system is fully implemented but not yet enabled for public use.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”When a project is ready for verification, it becomes available for trained verifiers to claim. Verifiers travel to the project site and complete a structured evaluation form, capturing geotagged photos and video as evidence. Once enough verifiers have submitted their assessments, the system aggregates their scores using a weighted algorithm that accounts for each verifier’s experience level. If the scores fall within an acceptable range, a consensus is reached and the project receives its verified status. Verifiers earn reputation points and rewards for their contributions.
