Treasure Chest — Marketplace

The Treasure Chest is where the Stars you earn become something real. Partners donate rewards — travel, gear, electronics, gift cards — and members spend the Stars they earned through verified conservation work to claim them.

You can browse the full marketplace today from the Treasure Chest button on Home or from the slide-out menu. Every listing is marked preview only while the redemption side is being built, so nothing is deducted from your balance yet.

Key Capabilities

  • Browse the catalogue — rewards laid out as cards with images, categories and Star prices
  • See what you can afford — your live Stars balance sits at the top, and each reward tells you whether you have enough or how many more Stars you need
  • Reward details — tap any card for the full description, price and availability
  • Priced by value — larger rewards such as laptops and flights cost the most Stars; smaller items are within closer reach

User Flow

  1. Open Treasure Chest from Home or the menu
  2. Check your Stars balance at the top
  3. Scroll the catalogue — the most valuable rewards come first
  4. Tap a reward to see its full details
  5. Once redemption opens, claim it and your Stars are spent

How It Works

Rewards in the Treasure Chest are donated by EarthTeam partners rather than bought by the platform, which is what keeps them free to members — the only currency is the Stars you earned by doing or verifying real conservation work.

During the preview the catalogue is fixed, so everyone sees the same rewards and nothing can be claimed. When redemption opens, claiming a reward will spend Stars from your balance and create a record of the exchange, the same way every other Stars movement is recorded in your wallet.
